MONS PUBIC LIFT
Has weight gain, aging or pregnancy caused your pubic area to enlarge or sag? Restore function and a natural looking pubic contour.
Monsplasty, also known as mons pubic lift or mons lift, is a genital cosmetic surgery or procedure used to improve the exterior appearance of the vulvar structure.
The mons pubis can become enlarged from aging or pregnancy. Weight gain can affect the appearance and functionality of mons pubis which contains hormone-defendant fat. Excess skin and tissue in this area can be addressed with a monsplasty procedure, or a mons pubic lift.
Pubic Lift and You
The mons pubis is the soft mound of fatty tissue covering the pubic bone above the vulvar area. This area protects the delicate female anatomy during intercourse. With normal aging, this upper vaginal region enlarges and can change the way clothing fits and appears on the body. Weight gain and pregnancy also can cause the mons pubis to excessively sag, affecting functionality and self-confidence during intimacy.
A monsplasty procedure lifts and tightens the mons pubis area. The procedure is completed for either cosmetic or functional reasons and can result in renewed self-confidence, better sexual enjoyment and restored urinary function. A pubic lift is often performed as part of a mommy makeover: combined with abdominoplasty, body contouring, and vaginal rejuvenation procedures.
Monsplasty removes sagging skin, excess fat and tightens surrounding tissue to create a smoother, shapely upper vaginal appearance.
Are You a Good Candidate for Monsplasty?
You may be a strong candidate for a pubic lift if:
- You have an enlarged or sagging mons pubis area
- You are physically healthy (non-smoker)
- You have a positive outlook and body image
- Set realistic goals for the improvement of your appearance
Monsplasty Procedure
The mons pubis area is below the lower abdomen and above the genitalia. The reduction of the mons pubis involves liposuction through targeted incisions where fat is carefully removed. Underlying muscle and tissue are carefully raised, tightened and sculpted to contour the pubic area. The results of a successful monsplasty is a smaller and more natural looking pubic appearance.
Pubic lift surgery requires a great deal of experience, precision, and accuracy from your surgeon. Each mons pubic lift is customized to your body and desired results. Many patients have the procedure done in conjunction with labiaplasty as part of a full vaginal rejuvenation process.
After Your Procedure
There will be minimal pain post lift/reduction. There may be an ache for 3-5 days along with post-op swelling and bruising after surgery. If surgical excision of the mons pubis is completed, your downtime may last up to a week. Time off from gym or intense physical activity may last up to two to three weeks. Swelling may take up to twelve weeks to resolve. The results of a proper mons pubis lift can be long lasting if a healthy and consistent weight is maintained after surgery.
