VASER

Vaser Treatment

Vaser liposuction is a form of ultrasound used to remove unwanted body fat and sculpt the desired areas.

The energy is transmitted to the body via small probes and then carried to the fatty deposits between the skin and muscle. This causes the fat cells to vibrate, which in turn dissolves the fat cell, turning the fat to a liquid.

The liquid fat is then removed from the body through tiny cannulas using a suction technique.

After the procedure, the body will organically excrete any leftover fat. Although tiny incisions are made to insert the cannulas, these are only millimeters in length so are not visible, hold less possibility of scarring and often don’t need stitching.

Moreover, fat will carry on breaking down in the weeks following your Vaser procedure, so your result may improve after a certain time – this is particularly powerful if combined with a healthy exercise routine.

Why Vaser?

Vaser liposuction is great for several reasons:

  • Less invasive and less painful compared to traditional liposuction procedures
  • Patients can return to work sooner
  • Vaser lipo holds less risk as there is often no need for a general anesthetic prior to the procedure depending on the amount of body areas treated and the pain tolerance of the patient
  • Bruising and swelling are greatly reduced with the Vaser Lipo technique
  • More fat can be removed in a single session, leading to immediately visible results
  • Results can be seen immediately after the procedure but also continue to improve for 6 months following the procedure
  • Using the Vaser technique helps to tightens the skin, reducing the problem of redundant skin following the procedure and as such Vaser is more suitable for older patients with less elastic skin or patients that are having larger amount of fat removed. If further skin tightening is necessary above and beyond of what Vaser can offer, we would advise the use of Body Tite which is known to offer more dramatic skin tightening and can be performed in the same session as the Vaser. Your doctor will advise you on that
  • The Vaser technique is gentler and less intrusive to surrounding tissue, body parts, nerves, etc. This means better targeted results and a much quicker recovery time following the procedure
  • Vaser lipo is a particularly good procedure for female patients wanting to target specific areas of their body, such as the inner thighs, the upper arms, as well as removing fat from the hips, stomach and the buttocks, to create a desired body shape.
  • The Vaser technique can also be useful for women wishing to reduce their dress size.

The Vaser Hi-Def & 4D Procedure

The Vaser Hi-Def & 4D technique is slightly different in that it offers to create shape and definition around specific muscle groups. This results in creating a smooth and defined silhouette and a more toned body. This procedure requires a local anesthetic and is perfect for patients that are active with already defined muscle tone. The surgeon then works with your natural tone to bring this out even more using Vaser.

The Vaser Hi-Def & 4D procedure is a good option for male patients, as it can be used to sculpt the pectoral and abdominal muscles, aka the ‘washboard abs. However, female patients also find this procedure to have worked for them, particularly when targeting fat loss after birth, improve overall muscle tone, and increasing the tone of certain areas of the body.
